Diploma of Patient Safety Coaching
Ensuring patient safety is the cornerstone of any healthcare organisation. That’s why we’ve developed the Diploma of Patient Safety Coaching* course to help you become a leader who can deliver patient safety coaching within your team and to others in the organisation. The course has been designed to provide additional knowledge and skills for leaders and those with a dedicated mandate to ensure patient safety within a community setting or healthcare organisation such as a hospital, aged or residential care facility, in how to formally coach leaders to develop a patient safety culture.
Leaders who want to develop a psychologically safe working environment in which staff ‘speak-up’ and report incidents and near misses would benefit from learning how to coach their team members.
Allied health professionals and primary care providers such as paramedics, midwives, dentists and pharmacists would benefit from learning the non-technical, coaching skills included in this course, and how to coach to international standards as self-regulated by professional coach associations such as the International Coach Federation.
The course is delivered by self-paced online study, practical workshops, and application-focused webinars. You have 12 months to complete the course.
